I have been counseling and helping families since 1995. Many of my ideas and solutions come from a full life of raising my six children, teaching college psychology and doing research for my doctoral degree (in progress). I use a cognitive behaviorist approach, which is solution focused. I am also very experienced in attachment disorders and emotion focused therapy for couples. This means I am using methods and approaches that have been empirically tested and help people get better!
It’s different for every client. After just a few sessions, many people feel less pain and more happiness and conclude their sessions. Many people stop sessions and come back at a later time to work on a new problem.
